Dan and Kirsten Stewart

We are just a little bit crazy for deciding to buy a 20 acre farm in Spanaway, WA. With no farm experience, it was a go big decision! 

Dan was raised in West Linn, OR and came up to the Tacoma area in 2011 with his company to start a new location in Fife, WA. He has had previous experience with hardscaping and heavy equipment, he is an Army Veteran serving for 8 years active duty and reserves. Growing up Dan had a passion for plants and gardening, as well as a do-it yourself attitude for home improvement and repairs; he got that from his Dad and Grandpa! 

Kirsten was born and raised in Parkland WA a suburb of Tacoma. She left to go to Washington State University and graduated in 2011 with a BS in Biology. She came back to Parkland to help her father after he had a stroke and took over management of his company Suburban Realty becoming Designated broker. She has an interest in gardening, and with Dan's help has been able to grow vegetables and flowers, that unfortunately have more often become  chicken snacks than dinner. 

Dan and Kirsten met in 2014 and married August 2018, shortly after they bought their farm in June 2018. They share daily tasks of caring for their flock of poultry, pigs and livestock guardian dogs. They are currently remodeling the house on their farm, making it a safe and functional home. In 2019 they purchased 2 steer and are working to improve fencing, grow vegetables , improve the existing structures on the property and getting a little sleep in between it all! 

Big news! In June 2020 we are expecting to add a new farm hand to Stewart Family Farm, Kirsten and Dan are expecting their first child, a little boy.
